UPDATE: Fossils Found by Charles H. Sternberg Pulled from Auction

The San Diego Museum of Natural History is currently preparing to auction off 6 fossils found by Charles H. Sternberg.  Of those 6, five of them were found in western Kansas.  The auction of sale of fossils is a breech of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology’s code of ethics.

Read more about this and see an open letter to The San Diego Museum of Natural History written by our Chief Curator/Curator of Paleontology, Dr. Laura Wilson.

We are happy to announce that the fossils were pulled from auction and The San Diego Museum of Natural History is looking to make other arrangements to find public homes for these fossils.

Read more the pulling of these fossils from the auction here!
