Discover Sternberg Museum's Exhibits

Exhibits Home | Temporary Exhibits | Permanent Exhibits

In the age of dinosaurs, warm seas inundated Kansas. Dynamic exhibits show how the animals that dwelt there lived and died. Examine rare fossils of these creatures and of others that claimed the land after the seas receded. Watch fossil preparation and learn about ongoing research.

Active research yields growing collections and an evolving understanding of our living world. Exhibits and programs present these new scientific findings and classic interpretations in a fun, engaging way.

The museum features frequently changing exhibitions -- from blockbusters to compact collections, interactive science to nature art. There's something for everyone.

The holdings of the Sternberg Museum total more than 3 million specimens, many of which are housed in the scientific collections and used primarily for research purposes.
