Group Tours and Meetings

When it comes to groups, the Sternberg Museum welcomes many different types and encourages them to inquire about reservations for not only tours and possible special admission prices, but also the use of its fine meeting rooms.

There are two kinds of tours offered to groups with reservations: guided and self-directed.

Guided tours last anywhere from 45 minutes to one hour, after which group members are welcome to spend what additional amount of time they can to visit the museum at leisure. (A good benchmark length-of-stay for all groups, whether opting for the guided tour as part of it or not, is two hours. However, even if you only have an hour or so in all to spend with us—especially if yours is a school group—by all means do so. The museum is a gem, you won’t regret it.)

Self-directed tours allow group members to visit the museum just like walk-in visitors—i.e. entirely at leisure—but with benefit of a brief welcome and introduction/orientation delivered first to the group as a whole.

Whether yours is a school group studying dinosaurs or Kansas geology, a business or civic club looking to entertain clients or meeting-goers, a motor coach group looking for a unique destination or stopover, or any other type of organization, contact reservations manager Mark Kellerman at (785)628-5298 or mkellerm@fhsu.edu for complete information about tours and group rates.

At the Sternberg Museum, friendliness and personal service extend not just to folks visiting the exhibits but also to groups utilizing the museum’s fine meeting rooms for many different types of events. Accordingly, in addition to AMPLE PARKING, the museum offers three such rooms, each sure to please: the Engle Educational Center, the Seibel Lobby, and the Expeditions Meeting Room.

Contact reservations manager Mark Kellerman at (785)628-5298 or mkellerm@fhsu.edu for complete information about meeting rooms and rates.
