Outreach Programs

Let us bring the Museum to you. Book an outreach program and let us bring the excitement and grandeur of the Museum to your students, group, corporate gathering, or assembly of people. We offer a multitude of programs and educational activities to meet any need. Our programs are available to anyone from schools, to libraries, to any other group in the Hays area.

Programs are based on topics. Any group to book an outreach program has the option to select specific areas of interest within the topic. See our list of ever-expanding knowledge that we can bring to you. If you are an educational facility, programming will be built upon State of Kansas Science Standards.

School Outreach Programs:

Classroom programs: $100/1 hour program ($75/hour for repeat programs after the first initial program)
Assembly- style programs: $200/1 hour program
Virtual programs: $75/1 hour program

Library Programs:

Also applies to community centers and other museums.
In-person: $150/hour long program ($100/hour for repeat programs after the first initial program)
Virtual: $100/hour long program ($75/hour for repeat programs after the first initial program)

Community Programs:

In-person for community/philanthropic organizations: $100/hour-long program
Virtual for community/philanthropic organizations: $75/hour long presentation

Scout Programs:

In Person $100/hour
Virtual $75/hour

Walk-up interactive programs:

For community festivals/events/fairs etc...
$400 (for up to four hours of display/interactive time)
Formal Lecture: $250/hour

For programs outside of the Hays area, travel time and mileage will apply.

$25/hour travel time (First hour is free)
Mileage is 58.5 cents per mile

Museum Sleepovers:

$30/person (minimum of ten, maximum of 30 people)
- Arrangements must be made in advance with the education director
- The museum does NOT provide meals- all visiting overnight groups are responsible for their own meals and snacks. We do provide kitchen and eating space.
